Tim Gill is one of the UK’s leading thinkers on childhood and an effective advocate for change. His work focuses on children’s play and free time. He appears regularly on national TV and radio and has written for The Guardian and The Independent, as well as parenting and trade magazines and academic journals. He was Director of the Children’s Play Council from 1997-2004 and, in 2002, was seconded to Whitehall to lead the first ever Government-sponsored review of children’s play www.rethinkingchildhood.com
Rob is the co-founder of The Montessori Place, a new Montessori centre in Brighton & Hove which offers a range of services including a school and preparation for parenthood classes. he trained at the Maria Montessori Institute AMI in London and went on to head one of their five model communities for 3-6 year olds. In 2008 he co-authored the report Montessori and the EYFS in response to the Governments new curriculum. Previously he was Climate Campaigns Manager for Greenpeace UK
Christine is a mother of three adults and grandmother to Nina (just born) and Ben (two years old). She is the eldest of six children born within nine years of each other where they lived in a farming community. She has been active in Montessori education, working with and learning from children, young families and Montessori students for many years.
