Christmas Play
15th December 2011 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

It seems only a few weeks ago that the first children came through the door of The Montessori Place, and now the end of the first term is only two weeks away!
The last day of term will be different from a normal day, with the main event being the Christmas Play. This year it is a variation on the nativity story as interpreted by the children. We have started acting out the story based on a few different versions – I’m not sure it is meant to be a comedy, but it always seems to end up that way, especially if Joseph tries to kiss Mary, and a pumpkin is doubling up as baby Jesus.
After the play there will mulled wine and a ‘pot luck’ lunch for everyone so please bring a dish to share.
On the last day Children’s House children are dropped off later than normal, at 10.15 am. Infant Community children will not be attending school on that day but will come along with their parents at 11am instead.
Doors will be opened for parents and friends to come down at 11am with the play starting at about 11.15 am. Mulled wine and lunch will get going from around 12 noon.
The play will be downstairs in the Children’s House, followed by lunch on the ground floor in the Family Room and Infant Community. The later drop off time allows us to clear all the furniture and dress both environments.
By the end of the week we will have established who is going to play the different parts (people, angels, animals, etc) and you will know by Friday what your chosen one has chosen to be. Please drop them off in costume on the day.
