SUMMARY:This Week in the Life of the Elementary
DESCRIPTION:Coming up is a chance to discover more about the children’s day to day experience in the Elementary Community.  On Thursday the 20th\, we will be looking at the work that has been happening that week in the Elementary; how the work came about and its significance from a developmental perspective.\n\nWe could be talking about binomials equations\, petal arrangements\, animals from the Carboniferous period\, the future tense\, multiplying fractions\, or Queen Victoria or any number of other topics.  By the end of next week I will have an idea of some of the the presentations I will give the following week\, but even then – as at all ages at The Montessori Place – so much activity is so wonderfully driven by the children’s spontaneous interests.\n\nFor those of you who already have children in the Elementary this is a chance to get a fuller sense of how he or she functions in the community\, and for those with younger children it is a chance to peek at what is to come.\n\nPlease let me know if you will be coming.\n
